Communicating Love on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day means many things to different people. There are a lot of couples that will get engaged tomorrow. There are other's celebrating anniversaries and there are the couples celebrating Love. Love is a celebration that should be shown all year, day in and day out not just on Valentine’s Day.

How do you communicate love on Valentine’s Day in a marriage? Do you buy roses? Chocolates? Balloons? Or even a Card? Communicating love in marriage is paramount to the survival of any relationship. Whether you are the husband or the wife – regardless of Valentine’s Day communicate to your spouse that you love him or her. Whether it is by writing a love note, washing the dishes, cooking dinner or even sitting on the couch and cuddling in front of the television watching a movie… Celebrate your Love.

Valentine’s Day is a day to be acknowledged whether in a big way or a small way. So let me give you some suggestions in ways to be creative this Valentine’s Day:

1) Contact a local portrait studio and arrange to have a portrait session of you and your spouse – spontaneous. www.portraitsbyericdenver.com , www.leelynnstudios.com and www.photoelementstudio.com

2) Go see Valentine’s Day – the movie at a local theater.

3) Denver Romantic Getaway at The Brown Palace

Whether you stay at home or venture out with your loved one, Love is in the air. Everything is turning up roses. Remember when you were a little kid in elementary school and you could not wait to go to school on Valentine’s Day, why not go back to that time where your heart goes pitter and patter when you see your mate.

You could also spend the day reading one of your favorite books. My husband and I have talked about going to the Colorado Home and Garden show. Mind you I am not big on home shows, however this is one of his favorite things to do and he has not done it in a few years. So this will be a GREAT family day. Notice Ladies, I am making the time to do something he really enjoys which communicates love. It will be a good time and when we return, I can gear up for the busy week ahead.

Communicate love in a way that will be received on Valentine’s Day and Every Day.
