Management of recreational fishing in the Mid-Atlantic for next year will be discussed at upcoming meetings. The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council's (MAFMC) Summer Flounder Monitoring Committee, Scup Monitoring Committee and Black Sea Bass Monitoring Committee are planning to meet on Friday, Nov. 22 to hash out what to recommend for 2014.

The meeting is open to the public and takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton BWI

The committees may also consider management measures for 2015. They may discuss other matters but won't take formal action on them.
Then on Monday, Nov. 25, the Joint MAFMC's and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Advisory Panel will hold public meetings to discuss recreational management measures. Summer flounder recreational measures will be discussed from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., scup measures from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and black sea bass measures from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
