There are two new tricolor legends in each Commander 2013 deck, just as in the original official Commander product; and all of them have been seen thus far except for the non-face commander from the black-red-green Power Hungry deck. Well, that card is a mystery no more: MTGSalvation Rumor Mill moderator TK-421's source has uncovered the second Power Hungry new commander. Meet the Shattergang Brothers, illustrated by Magic art veteran Kev Walker:
Shattergang Brothers 1BRG
Legendary Creature - Goblin Artificer (Mythic)
2B, Sacrifice a creature: Each other player sacrifices a creature.
2R, Sacrifice a artifact: Each other player sacrifices an artifact.
2G, Sacrifice an enchantment: Each other player sacrifices an enchantment.
Unlike Prossh, this card emphasizes less the beatdown aspects of black-red-green and more the mass-destruction, nihilistic ones. Violent Ultimatum springs to mind. This brotherly trio is the opposite of a group-hug commander, giving everyone equal amounts of pain. The fact that it's an Artificer is a little bit odd, but perhaps they're more of a bomb-building anarchist version of that creature type. Those three activated abilities make the Brothers a versatile engine of attrition, and they definitely play well with recursion, token generation, and death triggers. Flavorfully, legends that represent more than one person are always interesting, and I'm betting this will definitely have some sweet art!
