Not every card in every set gets previewed to fanfare. Some real gems slip under the radar, being debuted on very small outlets, or not at all, and then suddenly being added to the card image gallery on the mothership. One of them is a very interesting group-hug-ish beater for blue - meet Diviner Spirit:
Diviner Spirit 4U
Creature - Spirit (Uncommon)
Whenever Diviner Spirit deals combat damage to a player, you and that player each draw that many cards.
Sentience is its natural habitat.
This is pretty appropriately named; by default, when it hits a player, you and they both get a Divination. We have an idea of what deck this might go in, too; it combos excellently with the blue-black-red Mind Seize deck's secondary commander, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, who is all about punishing your opponents for drawing cards and then forcing them to. Even without Nekusar and his support cards, though, Diviner Spirit is great for filling your hand even if it also does so for your opponents - Locust Miser and similar cards work wonders to make sure you have an advantageous position in this regard, and it can even quite handily mill a player to death given sufficient pump.
