Increasingly in recent rumor seasons, the people at Wizards of the Coast have turned to social media to let their fans know about the latest in Magic news. The @Wizards_Magic official Twitter account often posts spoilers; as it just did with a Djinn that makes the board situation a lot more complicated to evaluate. Extend a hand to Djinn of Infinite Deceits:
Djinn of Infinite Deceits 4UU
Creature - Djinn (Rare)
Tap: Exchange control of two target nonlegendary creatures. You can't activate this ability during combat.
The winds of change have a mind of their own.
Even with those restrictions - no commander-switching and no messing with combat - a Switcheroo every turn for six mana is obviously pretty insane. Using it solely to give yourself advantageous board position will quickly make you everyone's enemy (not that that matters in duels, and this is still very useful in two-player games), but there are much more fun things to do involving giving your opponents each other's creatures. Try it with Bronze Bombshell and Freed from the Real! Incidentally, this is also fun with power and toughness switching effects for obvious but different reasons.
What do you think of this crazy negotiation-causing flyer? Let me know in the comments.
