Comings & goings - ‘General Hospital’ brings back more characters from the past

Ever since Julian Jerome (William DeVry) hit town, fans have been wondering if the character of Lucas Jones (adopted son of Bobbie and Tony) would return as well.

‘GH’ executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed recently that Lucas – in the former of former portrayer Ryan Carnes – will indeed return to the soap.

‘Yes, he's coming back. I got to meet him the other day. I like him a lot,’ Valentini shared (via Soaps in Depth).

An official first air date has yet to be confirmed for Carnes.

Here’s more good news for fans of the Cassadine family. Veteran actor Thaao Penghlis is returning to the soap as Victor Cassadine.

Longtime fans remember Penghlis for his part in the famous ‘Ice Princess’ saga back in the 1980’s. Last we heard, Victor (brother of Mikkos) was doing time in prison.

Penghlis will first air in January.

And with the good news comes some bad. Anders Hove's (Faison) run on 'GH' is over – at least for now. Even though Anna and Robert did away with the devilish Faison, you never know. It’s hard for many fans to believe the character won’t somehow return in the future. Hove will be missed. He always adds humor and craziness to ‘GH’ – and we can never have enough of either.

Speaking of villains with many lives – Sebastian Roche (Jerry) is also gone – for the time being anyway. We all know Jerry well enough to know he’ll be back again. The question is, when?

General Hospital’ airs weekdays at 2pm on Detroit’s local ABC affiliate WXYZ Channel 7.
