Will we be snowed in or won't we? That is the question on everyone's lips after the #PolarVortex storms. If you are not snowed in this weekend, here are some fun activities for the family!

First Friday Maryland Science Center

This Friday is another First Friday at the Maryland Science Center. From 5pm until 8pm the entire Science Center is open for one low admission price of $8. Admission includes all three floors of exhibits, a planetarium show, live science on the Demo Stage, and an IMAX film. All for only $8 per person. First Fridays takes place on the first Friday of every month. Visit www.marylandsciencecenter.org to see what shows are playing in the planetarium and IMAX Theater.

New Exhibit at Maryland Science Center

The Target America exhibit opens February 11th for a limited engagement. This exhibit is designed to open eyes to the science behind drug addiction and the countless costs of drugs and to provide food for thought on how each and every one of us can make a difference. Open your eyes to the costs and consequences of illegal drugs and drug abuse on society.

Most Americans are unaware of the science behind the damaging effects of drugs on the mind and body, or of the other tremendous costs associated with the production, sale and use of drugs. The costs to society–estimated at more than $180 billion a year–are borne by all of us in some way. This exhibit is designed to open eyes to the science behind drug addiction and the countless costs of drugs–to individuals, American society, and the world–and to provide food for thought on how each and every one of us can make a difference.

Fridays After Five at National Aquarium
