If you haven't heard... well, where on earth have you been?! This Monday, January 21st, 2013 kicks off LA Foodies' favorite time of year - restaurant week! Dine LA is fabulously presented by LA Tourism, and introduces amazing restaurants of every cuisine genre to tourists and residents alike. Participating establishments offer patrons 3 and even 4 course meals at a fixed price (generally prices are around $20 for a 3 course lunch, and $35-$45 for a 3 or 4 course dinner, although prices do vary based on restaurant). If there's a restaurant you've just been dying to try, now is the time.
There are so many restaurants, both new and well-established, participating in Dine LA's event, with more being added every day - it's hard to keep count. You can browse participating restaurants online and search by restaurant name, whether you are interested in lunch or dinner (not all restaurants offer lunch; many only have fixed-price dinner menus), cuisine type, or neighborhood. Most participating restaurants have live menus available online for viewing. If there's a fixed price menu that catches your eye, you can even book reservations right from the website.
While LA is vast and spread out, there are participating restaurants in every neighborhood. Whether your taste buds crave Asian, French, Italian, Mediterranean, American, or Californian, participants are so diverse that there literally is something for everyone. Try some new dishes, try some new neighborhoods. What better way to become familiar with a new cuisine or restaurant than by indulging in a special menu offered at a special price?
Don't let the phrase "restaurant week" fool you; the event lasts through February 1st, so there's still plenty of time to make reservations at your favorite spot or a place you'd like to try for the first time.
