“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.”(Matthew 24:30)
Technology has cornered the market on using the word “cloud”. It is meant to store your information on a server (large computer database) somewhere else. The data on the smart phone, tablets, laptops, and even desktop computers have the option of storing information with the ability to retrieve information when needed. The “cloud” stores photos and other data as backups and gives the illusion of being somewhere in the sky. This is related to the data that travels via cell data and/or wifi connections. Both literally transmit information through the air. Technology has been determined to solve life issues with such tools as the “cloud.”
The Holy Bible speaks of “clouds” as well. God made the clouds to distribute rain on the earth. They distribute precipitation to replenish the soil with needed nourishment. The clouds are continually fulfilling their purpose and resolving the need for the earth’s hydration. The Word of God also speaks of another use for the “clouds.” They did carry and will carry the Son of Man, Jesus. Jesus ascended into heaven on clouds. He will come again on the clouds. His purpose is to fulfill the word of the prophets and set all things in order.
Believers in Christ Jesus long for this appearing to take place. God has given this hope and future for them. The appearance of Jesus will make all others sorrowful because of their unbelief. All will then understand that God is the truth that is found in His Son, Jesus. The day of Jesus return will be cause all to become refocused on God’s most important use of the “clouds.”
Challenge: Believers in Christ Jesus allow the Holy Spirit to use you in making others aware of His return. Amen.
