WQXR mid day host Midge Woolsey is leaving the station. She says she is leaving in order to devote more time to her family and to explore other opportunities in New York. Woolsey has been with WQXR since their days as a New York Times station, starting as a weekend host in 1993. In 2001 she took over the evening slot. Following WQXR's transfer to New York Public Radio in 2009, she moved into the mid-day slot. Woolsey has also donated a lot of her time to fund-raising events on Channel 13.
Nadine Santos has been named APD/MD at 92.3 Now (WNOW FM), replacing Rob Wagman. She was most recently Sr. Manager of Programming at Music Choice. Prior to that, she served as APD/MD at Power 105.1 (WWPR).
