The focus will be on Oregon's model death with dignity law. There will be a panel of industry professionals discussing the options available. It is a troubling topic but may be worth your time. Friday, February 24 @ 6:00 pm at the HDOA Conference Room at 1428 King Street: A bee expert from Florida, Dr. Jamie Ellis, is being hosted b the Hawaii Department of Agriculture's apiary program. Our bee population has suffered and is suffering from the infestation of very destructive parasites. In addition to Dr. Ellis, Ethel Villalobos from the University of Hawaii Honeybee Project will also be in attendance.
Not happening this coming week but noteworthy: Hawaii adding more saints. Mother Marianne Cope, a Catholic nun carried on the work of Father Damien after his death.
