Superhero comic Voluntaryist #2 hits the virtual news stands on October 31 just in time for Halloween.
Jaime Sherman, mastermind behind the Voluntaryist superhero comic, is no dummy.
Following the successful launch of Voluntaryist Issue #1 introduced to Libertarian News Examiner readers in "Libertarian collector's item: Voluntaryist comic #1. POW!" he's back with an All New edition that features nine new characters including a trio of Voluptuous Voluntaryist Vixens and a pair of Statist Strumpets.
There are also several new male superheroes as well to help Voluntaryist fight "Humanity's Last Stand Against Government," like Bastiat, a mutated Frenchman who has the ability to vibrate and create concentrated shock waves and Spooner who's a "package deliveryman" with the powers of telepathy and telekinesis.
Then there are the emerging male Supervillains that include Leviathan, identified as "the main evil Statist" by its creator, a mutant with a thick dark exoskeleton bristling with demonic horns and tail and fiery breath, and flying dinosaur-like cyborgs called Directives produced by the US government as part of its false-flag invasion.
"The public release will be taking place on October 31st to coincide with the Voluntaryist cosplay for Halloween, Sherman informed Libertarian News Examiner.
"Cosplay," it seems, is "costume play." Not only are Sherman and friends enthused about developing libertarian comic books but they're into the whole superhero costume thing, designing their own get-ups, attending ComicCons and, like Christie Diaz of Mommynomics, just modeling her Voluntaria character.
"I am so excited about the next issue of Voluntaryist - The Comic Series!" Diaz posted on her Facebook page. "This is Voluntaria, and I have the honor of being the inspiration behind the character... which is like the fulfillment of a lifelong dream."
As for the comic book itself, "The primary art was performed by Rob Dumo and Adam Metcalfe," Sherman explains, while the Statist characters were drawn as a special by Garrett Trujillo."
Readers can get a brilliant living comic book primary color style preview by watching the "Voluntaryist Vixens vs. Statist Strumpets" slideshow.
"I am so excited to release the second issue of the Voluntaryist series," he exclaims. "While we didn’t raise the funds desired, it forced me to hone in the creativity and bring the rest of the universe to life. The Second Issue includes a fresh cover and 4 pages of individual character highlights with a 5th page devoted to introducing the Statist-side characters."
