Comic-Con buzz update for June 27, 2009 - Miyazaki to appear and present Ponyo clips

  Hayao Miyazaki to appear at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con International

The Los Angeles Times is reporting what we have been speculating for some time:  Hayao Miyazaki will appear for the first time ever at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con International to show clips from his newest film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.  Already a huge hit in Japan, the English dub version of Ponyo featuring the voices of Kate Blanchett, Matt Damon and Tina Fey is scheduled for U.S. release on August 14th, 2009.

Warner Bros Entertainment has released the list of films they will be showcasing next month at San Diego Comic-Con.  The films confirmed to be represented  including Sherlock Holmes, Where the Wild Things Are, Shorts, The Box, The Book of Eli, Jonah Hex, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Final Destination which will be presented to attendees in 3D.
