Comic-Con 2014: Season three teaser of CW's 'Arrow'

You have failed this city

Those were the words Oliver Queen's alter-ego said to those who were on his father's list when he started his crusade when he was known as 'the Vigilante' and/or 'the Hood'.

Now, after two years ago, he finally saved Starling City, but Oliver didn't do it alone. With the help of John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Sara Lance/the Canary, and protege Roy Harper, Oliver Queen not only righted his family's wrongs, he also righted his own: going from killer to the hero known as the Arrow.

The third season of Arrow will find Oliver Queen trying to reclaim Queen Consolidated following last season's takeover thanks to Slade Wilson/Deathstroke as part of the latter's plan for revenge against his former friend, which culminated with the death of his mother Moira -- furthering the wedge even further between Oliver and his sister Thea, driving her into the arms of her biological father Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer.

Getting his family's company back, though, isn't the only thing Oliver is focusing on, as he and Felicity may go beyond friendship, yet his 'bromance' with Dig may start to strain -- possibly due to Dig's impending fatherhood with girlfriend Lyla Michaels, one of A.R.G.U.S.' top operatives. And speaking of Amanda Waller and A.R.G.U.S., season three will explore more of her ties to Oliver/Arrow, who's not on the island but in Hong Kong.

Still, this ex-billionaire with superior archery skills will be facing upcoming battles to protect Starling City with the return of Malcolm and a new Count Vertigo.

But that doesn't even compare with the arrival of Ra's al Ghul, the head of the League of Shadows, an elite organization of international assassins that Malcolm and Sara were members of. And speaking of the Canary, she returns this season to lend a hand to the Arrow, as Roy will literally take a page out of his mentor's book.

Arrow begins his aim for season three Wednesday, October 8 at 8pm on the CW.
