Saturday morning, at 9:00 am, badges for Comic-Con 2013 went on sale. Badges were only available to those who registered for a Member ID before February 12, 2013. If you didn't register before then, you didn't get the link emailed to you to purchase the badges.
Like previous years, Comic-Con partnered up with Epic Online Registration to handle the online sales. Also, like previous years, it didn't go as smoothly as hoped. The process was to click on the link that was emailed to you prior to 9:00 and then at exactly 9:00, click on the registration button.
Once you do that, in theory, you were sent into the waiting room to purchase your badge. In reality though, for many people, the page ended up timing out. And once they did get through, it said the waiting room was full. Whereas others may have signed in at 9:10, clicked on the link and got right into the waiting room with no hassle.
By 9:20 all 4 day passes with and without Preview Night were sold out. Though, single day passes were still available. By 10:30 everything was sold out. It was really a game of luck. Hopefully many of you were able to get your passes. If not, you may get another chance at a later date. Once information on that later date is released, we will announce it.
If you haven't done so already, once registration opens back up again for Member IDs, be sure to create one, otherwise you will not be able to participate in the next sale. Good luck to those who have not yet purchased a badge, and have fun in San Diego for those who have!
