Comedy Show Number 4

They are back, for round four of the 2011 Comedy Film competition for Burbank International Film Festival and again at Flapper’s Comedy Club at the corner of First Street and Magnolia Boulevard in beautiful downtown Burbank, California.  July 10th is the night and let the laughs begin at 9:00 p.m. until about 11:00 p.m.  You can sit back, relax and maybe enjoy a beverage and a snack while experiencing some of the best comedy in the world.  You the audience gets to vote and just like American Idol the winners and only the winners go on to the final round in September 2011.  And just like American Idol the Burbank International Film Festival has its three member celebrity judge panel.

The July 10th celebrity panel consists of Academy Award nominee Larry Hankin.  Larry was nominated for his role in “Solly’s Diner” in 1980.  But in preparation for this great comedy event Larry Hankin was also a member of the Improv Group at Second City Chicago and The Committee in San Francisco.  Larry has also performed in many television shows and movies including “Home Alone” and “Pretty Women.”

Also joining this celebrity panel is the stunning and vivacious Natasha St.Clair-Johnson originally from far away Adelaide in south Australia.  Natasha began acting at an early age and eventually attended the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts.  In 2010 she also won “Best Actress” for her starring role in the Australian feature film “Birthday” at the Cannes Film Festival.  Now that is a huge win for any actor but Natasha absolutely did not rest on her laurels.  Earlier this year Natasha also received critical acclaim for her lead role in the highly charge production of “But Not for Love” at the Renegade Theate in Hollywood, California.  Natasha St.Clair-Johnson  brings beauty, wit and charm to the judging panel.

Patrick Tiller is the third member of this prestigious panel.  Patrick has four film/television credits including as Dalton Parrish in the 1996 film “Too Fast Too Young.”  On stage Patrick has performed lead roles in “Godspell”,” Guys and Dolls”, “Brigadoon”, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” and “The Royal Family.”  Recently Patrick earned much deserved critical acclaim for his work in the Aaron Sorkin play “Hidden in the Picture.”

Add to this a great Flapper’s Comedy Club emcee, many budding comedy film makers and their inevitable entourages, celebrity guests, club owner Barbara Holiday, several Burbank Film Festival officials and you are looking at one huge evening of great entertainment.  Tickets are only $10.00 and available at the door.  I will be there looking for you so please stop by and say Hi.
