Comedy Examiner's 'Best of The Week': In case you missed it, we've got you covered! (with videos)

This picture isn't related to any Comedy Examiner articles, but boy, do we like it!

We had an enormously busy week here at the Comedy Examiner's Office-- over 60 articles published and about 50,000 readers served-- so it's possible that you might have missed out on some of the fun.  As such, we've put together this, our "Best of The Week", so you can catch up on anything you might've missed!  Read on for all the best of the week, my gentle Examiner readers...

This was our busiest week ever here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, and while we're thrilled that so many people have stopped by to check out our news, videos, reviews, and general shenanigans, we also know that you might have missed an article or two along the way.  As such, we'd like to give you a chance to catch up!  Here's the "Best of The Week" from the Comedy Examiner's Office:

JAMES CAMERON'S "AVATAR" ALREADY GETTING PARODIED, EVERYWHERE: In which we took a look at some of the better parodies that have been lurking online for the upcoming mega-budget James Cameron film, "Avatar".  We know there are many, many "Avatar" parodies out there, but these are some of the best!

COMEDY EXAMINER REVIEW: THE "CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM" SEASON FINALE, WITH THE "SEINFELD" CAST (WITH VIDEOS): In which the Comedy Examiner reviews the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" season finale.  You know: the one with the big faux-reunion of the "Seinfeld" cast?  What did we think?  Did it live up to the hype?  What happened with Larry and Cheryl?  Find out in the review, kind sir or ma'am!

ED NORTON STARS IN POT COMEDY/THRILLER "LEAVES OF GRASS", CHECK OUT THE TRAILER: We'll go ahead and include the trailer right here, but you can click that link to head back in time to read our write-up on the upcoming pot-based comedy/thriller "Leaves of Grass", starring Ed Norton:

"WHAT THE HELL IS 'BIG RED', ANYWAY?": AN ODE TO BIG RED SODA: In which the Comedy Examiner tries to get to the bottom of that age-old mystery: "What the hell flavor is 'Big Red' soda, anyway"?  We received a lot of email about that article, and from what you're saying, it's either: cream, bubble-gum, or "red" (which is not a flavor).  You can follow our footsteps as we tried to find the answer at that link.

AMAZINGLY COOL "INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS" ARTWORK YOU'LL WANT ON YOUR WALL!: In which we looked at some really cool concept art based on Tarantino's comedy/war/action/drama masterpiece, "Inglourious Basterds".  The artwork's Jack Kirby-style, for you comic book geeks in the audience.  Check 'em all out at that link, you won't be sorry!

FUNNY VIDEO: "SAVING PRIVATE RYAN" GETS THE "CALL OF DUTY" TREATMENT: In which we looked at the following video (it's right below this sentence), which comes to us from "Funny or Die" and mashes up "Saving Private Ryan" with the online gaming of "Call of Duty".  Kind of hard to explain, so just watch it:

COMEDIAN DANE COOK EXPRESSES INTEREST IN "DARK KNIGHT" SEQUEL, FANBOYS PANIC: In which we examined the news that comedian Dane Cook-- not a fanboy favorite these days-- was expressing interest in coming onboard the next "Dark Knight" film as The Riddler.  People were not happy to hear about that, but you can relive the magic at that link!  Since then, we've heard nothing further about the whole ordeal (but we weren't expecting to, anyway).

DARK HUMOR FANS, REJOICE: "FIGHT CLUB: 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION" HITTING BLURAY!: In which we look at the specs on the just-released "Fight Club" BluRay, which is supposed to be absolutely awesome (and, from the sound of those specs, it is).  We had a followup article about a prank that director David Fincher played on those who purchased the discs which you can see here (trust us, it's funny).  Did any of you purchase this BluRay?  Drop us a line, we wanna know if it's worth the price!

EPIC MASHUP OF "SOUTH PARK", CHRISTOPHER WALKEN, AND LADY GAGA IS HILARIOUS: In which we looked at the video below-- still our favorite video that we've seen all week-- and bowed before its greatness.  You can read our commentary on the article at that link, or just click the "play" button below!

FORBES NAMES WILL FERRELL TOP OF THE "MOST OVERPAID" IN HOLLYWOOD LIST: In which we learned that, according to the numbers that Forbes crunched, comedian Will Ferrell is the most-overpaid actor in Hollywood.  What do you think?  After "Land of The Lost", should Will Ferrell be pulling down over $15 million per movie?  We're inclined not to think so, but see the list for yourself at that link!

STEVEN SPIELBERG, STEPHEN KING TEAMING UP FOR DARK COMEDY/HORROR FILM "UNDER THE DOME": In which we heard the news that two entertainment heavyweights, Steven Spielberg and Stephen King, would be teaming up on an adaptation of King's darkly funny (and darkly horrific) new novel, "Under the Dome".  Read all about it up there!

And, finally...

BOX OFFICE REPORT: "TWILIGHT: NEW MOON" DESTROYS ALL BOX OFFICE COMPETITION WITH $140 MILLION OPENING: In which we looked at how comedies did at movie theaters this week-- hint: they lost to "Twilight: New Moon"-- and discussed the massive opening that the emo-vampire film had.  How many times did you see "Twilight" this weekend?  Go on, admit it: we're not here to judge.

That's it, folks: those are our favorite stories from the week.  Of course, you can scan back through the Comedy Examiner's homepage to see all of the articles, but these are the cream of the crop.  If you have any funny news, videos, or information that you'd like to see included in an upcoming Comedy Examiner article (most of those funny videos we post?  Sent in by readers), send it in to the Comedy Examiner!  It's no fun keeping fun stuff to yourself, people: sharing is caring.

We've got another great week planned here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, so be sure to hit the "Subscribe" button up top if you want to get all our news, videos, reviews, recaps, interviews, and general shenanigans delivered straight to your email account, free of charge, the moment they get published!  It's quick, easy, free, legal, and contains absolutely no cholesterol!  What more could you ask for?  Stay tuned to the Comedy Examiner, folks: it's going to be a great week!
