On Friday afternoon, famous comedian Bart Baker uploaded his parody of Lady Gaga's "Applause" and it is unbelievably hilarious. Judging by the response, it is one of the best parody videos ever released. It's one that the oversensitive Lady Gaga may not want to watch and listen to. However, it's really not that mean either.
The video includes Lady Gaga in all types of ridiculous costumes and makeup like her music video. She becomes so conceited that she eats her own urine and feces (it's more funny than disgusting). By the end of the video, she turns into a big fame monster who brainwashes her minions to like everything she does. However, Madonna, who refers to herself as the original fame whore, appears and gets rid of Gaga's spell.
The lyrics are clever: "Remember when I used to totally not suck?/My songs and videos were not pretentious and f**cked up/I combined art and pop and made a flop/Don't let your poor children watch this." The parody pretty much sums up where Gaga is at her career right now -- a total joke .
This parody comes at a very bad time for Gaga. This week, she made a very hyped-up appearance on gay channel Bravo on a show called "Watch What Happens Live." The ratings were just about the lowest of any show in Bravo's history. Gay people were also angry that Lady Gaga pretended to be a lesbian in order to sell more copies of her troublesome album ARTPOP.
