This summer I turned 30. As such, I decided to celebrate with a mini-road trip around my new home state (you'll be hearing all about that in August). As my girlfriends and I were planning for it, one came across a deal that was just too good to be true. I had to share it.
A free hat! As the website says, “No ordinary hat, this beauty is embroidered with the world-famous 'Welcome to Colorful Colorado' road sign that has greeted locals and tourists alike for decades.” I thought it would be lame, but it actually looks cute and I think I'll wear it.
All you have to do is sign up, tell them when you'll be coming, and pick one of ten welcome centers you'll be visiting. They'll email you a coupon to present on arrival. Since Red Rocks (one of the ten elect) is about five minutes from my house anyway, and well worth taking the girls to, I chose that one.
It still sounds a little too good to be true. Even though the email coupon is in my possession I won't fully believe it until I'm standing amongst the giant red rocks with the hat on my head. When that happens I'll take a picture and post it in one of these articles so you can believe in something too. And if we see each other with our hats on, we can wave and give the thumbs up sign.
