Looking for some survival horror are we? Well I may have your answer. Releasing this week on multiple VOD platforms is the film Come Out and Play. It is a remake of a Spanish film from 1976 titled El Juego De Niños. From what you see from the trailer the film will remind you of the movie The Strangers was based off of Them. Obviously it involves children but here is the full synopsis:
“A happy young couple expecting their first child travel to Mexico for a romantic getaway. As they dock on a sun-kissed beach where children are playing and giggling, everything seems perfect—yet as they wander the strangely empty streets, an atmosphere of unease sets in: an abandoned hotel, a distress signal echoing from a radio, and a sense of being watched. Children’s laughter drifts through the streets, with no adults in sight. When the couple witnesses the violent death of an old man, their day in paradise becomes a struggle for survival”
Sounds like it could be worth the watch as children are once again proving they are the creepiest things in horror. Check your television service provider to see if they carry it and I will tweet out a few places to watch when i find them. I have included some pictures the official poster and trailer so enjoy. Once I get a chance to see it watch for a review for this on my new Examiner list segment Horror Movies Uncut and have a lovely day!
