Come out and be social at Steampunk in the Park, Grant Park March 24

For the past few years, Steampunk in the Park has been a popular event in Atlanta. This year, The Artifice Club takes over as hosts and the event moves to Grant Park on March 24. Hopefully, the weather will be warm and springlike and the park will be a wonderful place to stroll in your steampunk finery and enjoy a lovely Sunday potluck picnic. The event will begin at noon and end about 6 pm. Bring snacks, drinks and picnic supplies.

Grant Park is the oldest city park in Atlanta and was established in 1882. There are many Victorian houses in the neighborhood around the park, making it perfect for an event like this. It also contains the Atlanta Zoo and the Cyclorama.

The Club will try to claim the pavilion or gazebo area, but in order to keep the event free, they are not reserving an area. It's a big park and I'm sure we will all settle somewhere! It's a free day in a beautiful park with friends, and that is what counts.

As it happens, my birthday is the 21st and Ken and I plan to be there with my son and his wife, my daughter and her husband, and two of my grandchildren, Adeleine and Av, to celebrate it at the picnic. So if you know me and see my, say happy birthday. We may have cake!
