If you're up and around Highland Park on a Sunday morning, come enjoy a great cup of coffee at Ravinia Coffee Station and listen to the sounds of Soul Zimra, right in front of the store. From 7:30 am - 11:00 am every Sunday morning, you'll get to enjoy a great blend of music from your favorite pop music to folk and soul. Soul Zimra features Andy Dennen (guitar and vocals), Gary Schaffel (bass) and Marcus Newman (mandolin), along with Lisa Field (vocals) and Noah Plotkin (percussion) who sing the music you love now and loved back then. The band also invites other musicians to play with them, too. So on any given Sunday, you'll see a number of musicians stepping up with the band, making it a truly community event.

Soul Zimra sings both secular and religious music and consider themselves a Jewish worship band that brings meaning, energy, transcendence and light to prayer. They bring prayer and modern melody together to create music that people can relate to, performing at B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, a Reform Jewish Congregation in Deerfield as well as other area synagogues. On Sunday morning, anything goes.

But first, grab a cup of coffee. Hot or cold, Ravinia Coffee Station brews up the finest locally roasted coffee -- Passion House. Pair your coffee with a delicious fresh pastry or bagel and sit outside. Bring your family, bring your friends and your dogs and kick off a great Sunday morning. You'll be back next week, too! .

Ravinia Coffee Station is located at 723 St Johns Ave in Highland Park, right across from the train station.
