Come celebrate why we love our furry companions and what makes them unique. The 12th Annual Barry Crown Walk for the Animals will be held Mar. 9, 2013 at Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, and the goal is to raise $130,000 to benefit the animals of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue.
Over 1,000 pet enthusiasts will join in this fun event to raise funds to spay, neuter and to vaccinate and care for homeless animals. The event provides an excellent opportunity to meet and socialize with other pet owners, enter into fun contests - all while raising awareness for animals who by no fault of their own find themselves in desperate situations whether it be by abandonment, neglect, abuse, or owner surrender.
The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. next to the Cheesecake Factory with registration and team pictures. Breakfast will be provided by Whole Food and lots of coffee coming from Paris In Town, Le Bistro.
This year a Celebrity Pet Wash sponsored by the Pet Groomerie will be offered - one never knows which local celebrity might be shampooing your adorable "four-legger."
At 10:15 the one mile Walk begins. After that there will be contests with prizes for the Best Dressed, Most Creative Owner/Pet, Look-a-Like, and of course Best in Show.
There is still time to register to join a team to Walk for the Animals. Click here for more information and team news.
All of this could not be possible without the generosity of the many generous sponsors who "pawsitivily" love our four-legged friends. Included is presenting sponsor Hill's Science Diet and the following:

The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League receives no state or federal funding. Their vision is to "create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation." For more information, please click here.
