Comcast Cablevision of Mobile had planned on providing WHBR-TV's main programming (broadcast over the air on radio frequency channel 34-1/virtual channel 33-1) with a higher definition of picture quality on a separate cable TV channel beginning on Tuesday, January 29th, according to a message from Comcast that was scrolling in the ticker for a recent "Local on the 8s" segment for the Weather Channel, a cable TV and satellite TV programming service. All customers of Comcast Cablevision of Mobile who receive high-definition cable TV service through Comcast would be able to access this high-definition version of WHBR-TV's main programming through Comcast cable channel 1007 (see channel list for Comcast Cablevision of Mobile for more details about their high-definition programming and other programming).
