Comcast state director celebrates 40 years of service

Cable and telecommunications veteran John Christopher, State Director for Comcast’s cable operations in New Mexico, celebrated 40 years of service with Comcast this month.

Christopher started his cable career in San Francisco and is now based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He is responsible for state government relations, including advocacy before the legislature, executive branch and state regulatory agencies. Previously, Christopher served as vice president and general manger for the Southern and Northern New Mexico areas.

In addition to his role with Comcast, John Christopher enjoys giving back to the community through his involvement as a volunteer to groups that are making a positive difference for the residents in New Mexico. He has served on the board for United Way, The Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce and New Mexico State University. He is currently a board member of the Arizona New Mexico Cable Communications Association and New Mexico First.
