The Comcast Corporation's cable TV system in Mobile County stopped providing programming from the national cable TV and satellite TV programming service G4 to its customers by Monday, January 6th, in accordance with the corporation's plan to stop distributing the programming through their cable TV systems by January 2014 (G4 is owned and operated by the corporation).

Customers of the cable TV system were notified about the plan for the system to stop providing the programming by January 6th through a public notice sent to them during the month of November in 2013 along with their bills for the cable TV services provided by the system.

G4's programming is still available on cable TV in Mobile County in spite of the plan by the Comcast Corporation, specifically through the local cable TV systems owned by Mediacom Communications and the American Telephone & Telegraph Company (AT&T) (Dish Network and DirecTV do not provide G4's programming through their satellite TV systems).
