*UPDATE 11/18/2013*

Comcast today announced that the Filipino Channel (TFC) will remain open to Xfinity TV customers until November 30. In addition, the GMA Pinoy TV channel will also be opened to eligible Xfinity TV customers from now until November 30. Customers with any level of Xfinity TV service with a set-top box will be able to view the channels.

To help unite families and friends in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), Comcast is offering free International Long Distance (LID) calls to the Philippines to Xfinity Voice residential customers. Free calls to the Philippines have been provided since November 8 and will continue to be offered through November 22.

Free international calls can be made by Xfinity Voice customers to both landlines and cellphones. Comcast will automatically waive any fees, so customers will not have to take any special action to place a free call to the Philippines. Additionally, the Filipino Channel (TFC) is open to all Xfinity TV customers in participating regions through Friday November 15. The Filipino Channel has been connecting Filipinos abroad with current events and entertainment from the Philippines. Featuring top programming from ABS-CBN, TFC offers a wide array of offerings including daily news from the Philippines.
