Last week, Comcast introduced TV station KMYU and the El Rey Network channel to Utah Xfinity TV customers.

On Comcast channel 22 and 643 in HD, KMYU is a full-service television station based in St. George. The station serves as the MyNetwork TV and ThisTV affiliate for Utah and also airs Real Salt Lake events and Southern Utah University sports.

In addition, KMYU broadcasts CBS news, reality TV, dramas, documentaries, sports, movies and comedies, including Bridezillas, Bethenny, Family Feud, and Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Also for Utah customers, Comcast has welcomed the newly created El Rey Network on channel 139 to its Digital Preferred package. The network is designed to appeal to Latino audiences in the English language, offering entertainment programming, including movies, sports, news, TV series, music and comedies.

Last year, Comcast announced its commitment to provide independent and diverse programming and has since launched BabyFirst Americas on channel 137 in Utah with more varied content to come.
