Comcast celebrates Black History Month with special features On Demand & online

Throughout February, Comcast will feature more than a thousand hours of free special programming across all platforms in celebration of Black History Month. Available On Demand and online at XfinityTV.com/black. Black History Month special programming includes biographies, documentaries and specials, films, sports specials, and music.

This year also marks the first anniversary of Black Cinema On Demand, a video-on-demand offering that celebrates black films, actors and filmmakers with award-winning movies such as Amistad and The Color Purple. Another excellent choice, “His Dream, Our Stories” is an award winning program that honors and explains the 1963 March on Washington. On XfinityTV.com, viewers can find over 40 exclusive interviews with influential African American leaders that were involved in the March on Washington. Reverend Al Sharpton, Nolan Atkinson, and Lottie Shackelford are just some of the icons featured.

Entertainment highlights include guest articles by Arsenio Hall, Melissa Harris-Perry, Tamron Hall, and Wayne Brady sharing their favorite Black History Month films and programming.. Comcast also features biographies of President Barack Obama, Maya Angelou, Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder and others.
