Vertical Systems Group (VSG) placed Comcast Business as number six in their mid-year 2014 U.S. Ethernet LEADERBOARD. VSG is an internationally recognized leading market research firm. Its biyearly U.S. Ethernet LEADERBOARD is the industry’s foremost benchmark for measuring Ethernet provider market share. Earlier this year, Comcast Business came in at number eight on the U.S. LEADERBOARD. This is the first time Comcast Business had ranked on the board and the jump from eighth to sixth position, in such a short time, is significant.

Share results are measured at mid-year and year-end for U.S. and global markets. Year-end analyses include results for Incumbent Carrier, Competitive Provider, and Cable Multiple-System Operator as well. In addition to coming in at number six on the Ethernet LEADERBOARD, Comcast Business was rated the number three Multiple-System Operator in terms of Ethernet services and is the leader in growth for this category. VSG noted that more Ethernet ports were installed during the first half of 2014 than during any previous corresponding period, making Comcast’s high ranking even more significant.

This recognition reflects the substantial investment Comcast Business has made in Ethernet. Aspects such as Comcast’s network and Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 2.0 certified products and its built for business sales, order management, and care teams were targeted for expansion. Comcast would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this accomplishment and the ongoing work that provides Comcast Business customers with the secure, reliable, and scalable Ethernet services.
