Combine Volunteering and Family Fun at the Bernal Heights Playground on Saturday

Calling all Bernal lovers! The Bernal Heights playground needs a few good hands to level sand and the San Francisco Neighborhoods Parks Council has partnered with Let's Go Chipper to get some work done while having fun. On Saturday September 17, 2011, bring your family and friends from 9am to 1pm and get your biceps efforts rewarded with activities with Chipper and light refreshments from Sandbox bakery.

After the work party, don't forget to visit the newly remodeled library and the awesome children's space at playground level. Make it a full community day by getting your child a free library card. Here are the details for a sunny day out volunteering.

Where?

500 Moultrie @ Cortland.

What age?

Because of the sand leveling, the minimum recommended age is 4 years. However the fun activities can be enjoyed by younger siblings during the work part.
