In The War Within, Haymon, helps his readers learn the causes of this condition, who is vulnerable, the symptoms of PTSD, how to combat its effects, what can be done medically, and who are the best personnel to treat this condition are.
The War Within also explores how the Power of God can reduce the affects of PTSD upon its victims and everyone connected to the PTSD sufferer.
Haymon has over 40 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist/ consultant. He has treated thousands of clients for issues including childhood disorders, marital and couple counseling, family counseling, parent/child conflicts, veterans and non-veterans who have been diagnosed with PTSD, and/or chemical dependency. Haymon has also done extensive work with mood disorders, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders.
He loves to instruct individuals on how to holistically reduce stress with the power of God, through workshops, seminars and educational lectures. Haymon has an Ed.D. in Educational Psychology, and M.S.W. in social work, and completed Christian educational coursework at Bethesda Temple Bible Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.
