This column turned 2, and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better it continues to surprise me with priceless opportunities. I enjoy writing about the many events happening in Philadelphia and beyond. Recently, I went to the Hearts on Fire jewelry store opening in King of Prussia. What an amazingly young brand redefining the way we buy and browse jewelry. Starting at eye level, each automatic display case is remote controlled to really present a grand entrance of jewelry to a lucky customer’s future purchase. I really love the Illa collection- shooting stars anyone? But I won’t bore you on a typical Wednesday brunch over diamonds and mimosa, this is more of a thank you for reading my column.
Philadelphia’s fashion scene is growing exponentially. Walnut street is not just the only street blossoming with stores we all love, including Theory, Madewell, Stuart Weitzman and Intermix. There are talks that the old Daffy’s on Chestnut Street will be converted into a huge Nordstrom’s Rack. Translation: More sidewalk traffic! Gah, I don’t even want to say what city we may be turning into, but as long as the tennis on 26th street stay public I'm fine with it. Though, I am bidding for a Tori Burch shop somewhere around Rittenhouse. There are also small boutiques that are like gems carrying everything that is made locally and internationally whilst still maintaining a moral conscious on the overall production industry. Go shop! Go attend a benefit! Go eat and be merry, and maybe get your hair done at Blo/Out. I’ll try to report on what’s hot and new if you promise to read and experience it for yourself.
