The Columbus Zoo’s premier summer party is back once again. On Saturday, June 16, 2012 you can eat, drink, and dance the night away at Zoofari. At Zoofari, you can stroll about the Columbus Zoo grounds while sampling signature drinks and appetizer-sized portions of favorite dishes from nearly 100 of Columbus’s best restaurants and bars and enjoying some great live entertainment.
Participating restaurants include: Cantina Laredo, Polaris Grill, Bon Vie Bistro, Columbus Fish Market, Bel Lago, and Cameron Mitchell. Zoofari will also feature music from Hot Pink Racers, Cowtown, The Divide, Lt. Dan’s New Leg and the Personnel, Dueling Pianos, and more.
Festivities will start at 7:30 p.m. and go until 1:00 a.m. But for even more of Zoofari, purchase a V.I.P. ticket for early entrance to the event and access to special V.I.P. areas. Tickets for Zoofari can be purchased from the Columbus Zoo for $95 through May 31, $135 after June 1, and for $150 the day of the event. V.I.P. tickets can be purchased for $250.
Aside from being a great party, Zoofari is also the Columbus Zoo’s premier adults-only fundraiser. Proceeds from the event benefit the Zoo’s conservation and education programs. The Columbus Zoo has given over $4 million to conservation efforts since 2004, and has earned a prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
