An altercation at a West Hollywood restaurant on March 15 sparked the investigation by police. The 31-year-old Short allegedly punched a man unconscious after remarks the man made involving Short’s wife. The man was immediately taken to the hospital and also suffered a broken nose as a result of the punch delivered by Short.

The arrest comes one day after his arrest and the “Scandal” actor was released on $50,000 bail. Short is facing a charge that carries a maximum sentence of four years in state prison and will jeopardize his role on the hit ABC drama he has been apart of since Season 1.

Columbus Short is expected to be arraigned within the next 30 days. It is reported that the actor has been arrested several times for violent behavior.
