The TechColumbus Innovation Awards will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Thursday evening, February 4. The ceremony is designed to celebrate and honor entrepreneurial individuals and teams in a variety of disciplines for 2009. Each award category addresses an important component of the technology and innovation community in Columbus and surrounding areas. Receiving the top honor in an award category showcases the impact of the awardee’s contributions in Central Ohio and beyond.

In addition, there are individual award categories for Executive of the Year (company with fewer than 50 employees), Executive of the Year (company with more than 50 employees), Outstanding Woman in Technology, and Inventor of the Year.
The TechColumbus business incubator has brought the Innovation Awards to Central Ohio since 1996. The program began as a lunch of approximately 100 attendees and has grown to become the premier celebration of technology achievement in the region, now attracting over 1000 attendees.
