Anyone looking for bargains this weekend will want to stop by a multi-family garage sale at 2905 Leaphart Rd. on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A church-wide sale at Park Street Baptist Church promises to have something for everyone at 2204 Park St. on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

A large church yard sale at 3005 Devine St. on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon is a must-see for thrifty shoppers.

Those looking for baby items, clothes and shoes will want to check out a yard sale at 11 Coronet Rd.. in Forest Acres on Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon.

Stop by 200 Leaning Tree Rd. on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a nice selection of costume jewelry and much more.

A yard sale at 143 Morningwood Dr. in Lexington on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. promises to have a good selection of children’s clothing and other items.

Calvary Chapel Northeast is holding a garage sale at 1120 Sparkleberry Lane Ext. on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. If everything runs out, the sale will close earlier.

The Lake Carolina spring community yard sale will be held at 2 Shoreline Dr. on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Watch for a massive moving sale in the first house in the Bluffs from the bridge.

Columbia sales are most likely to be on Saturday and early morning is the best time to go before everything is picked over. Be sure to carry cash, preferably in small denominations. Most people cannot accept debit or credit cards, and many will not take personal checks. If you’re going with a friend, share the ride, since parking near sales is often limited. It's always a good idea to bring your own large totes or shopping bags, since they are often not available.

With beautiful spring weather, yard and garage sales are increasing this weekend. Listings will continue to appear through the close of the South Carolina State Fair. Get out early for the best selection and bring home the very best steals and deals!
