Today Acting-Auditions.org is reporting that Original Films and Scholastic Entertainment are getting ready to begin filming the Columbia Pictures feature film Goosebumps, based on the series of children's horror fiction novels by author R. L. Stine. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles for lead and supporting roles, and casting calls have gone out in Atlanta for featured background actor roles. Some of the roles being cast in Atlanta will include a paid trip to Los Angeles for additional filming. Shooting will get underway in Conyers, Georgia beginning in March, 2014. The production has leased out 130,000-square foot studio space with a three year option in case the film is successful and spawns sequels.

Goosebumps will center on 14 year old Zach Cooper who moves with his mother and little sister to the idyllic little town of Greendale, Maryland, where his secretive new neighbor turns out to be veteran Young Adult horror author R. L. Stine. When all the many many demons of Stine's mind are set free by Slappy, a demonic ventriloquist's dummy, it's up to Zach and Stine's niece Hannah to put all the evil genies back in the bottle. With the help of his giant, hulking friend Dwayne, the youths fend off the monster army that attacks their hometown.

Starring in Goosebumps is two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Jack Black playing a Stine-like author whose scary characters literally leap off the page, forcing him to hide from his own creepy creations. Annie Awards nominee Rob Letterman will direct Goosebumps from an adapted screenplay written by Darren Lemke. Primetime Emmy Award nominee Neal H. Moritz will produce for Original Film, while five-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee Deborah Forte will oversee production for Scholastic Entertainment.

All talent must and be legally eligible to work in Atlanta, GA and the United States.
