Colts to host Chiefs Wild Card Weekend after clinching fourth seed in AFC

The Indianapolis Colts had a couple options heading into week 17. With a Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots loss, they Colts could have become second seed in the AFC. Unfortunately, both teams won Sunday afternoon. Despite not improving their seeding, the Colts find themselves in good standing heading into the playoffs. Indianapolis will host the Kansas City Chiefs during Wildcard Weekend.

The Colts and Chiefs will only go two weeks without seeing each other. Indianapolis traveled to Kansas City in week 16 and had an impressive showing. The Colts' defensive unit was able to hold the Chiefs to one score while the Colts' offense scored 23 unanswered points. If last week was any indication on things to come, the Colts appear to have a good chance on progressing past the first round.

The time and date of the Colts' Wildcard showdown with the Chiefs has yet to be announced. It will either take place on Saturday, January 4 or Sunday, January 5.
