Designer Anna Sui presented her eponymous Anna Sui Fall 2013 collection in a retro-inspired colorful fashion show for New York Fashion Week at The Theatre at Lincoln Center on February 13, 2013 in New York City.
Stylistically, the Anna Sui Fall 2013 collection harkens back to the free-spirited 1960’s and 1970’s with mid-thigh hemlines and A-line shapes.
The color palette for the Anna Sui Fall 2013 collection is decidedly autumnal with saffron orange, rich rust, apricot, pumpkin, as well as mauve, plum and burgundy, with touches of neon orange for a pop of brightness. On the other end of the spectrum, Sui has cobalt blue, turquoise, purple, green and teal in rich jewel tones.
Sui offers several artsy jumpers to be teamed with turtlenecks, dresses, suits and mix-and-match separates as well as cuddly coats and capes that layer together in colorful combinations.
Gorgeous knits in bouclé and tribal inspired stripes, checkerboard motif, luscious velvet, patterned knee-high socks and colorful tights are featured throughout.
Native American inspired sunburst pendants and quilted shoulderbags (a tasteful homage to Chanel – no crime in that!) accessorize the colorful jewel-toned ensembles in style.
