Being 55 does not help for State Parks passes, which are half price for those 64 and older. Instead of $60 a year, the cost is $30. (Passes are good 12 months from the time of purchase.) If you’re born in 1922 or earlier, passes are free.

Don’t wait until you’re eligible to get a discount . If you like to go biking, birding, boating, camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, snow tubing, volleyball, water skiing, etc., you can enjoy exploring which activities are offered at these wonderful parks right now, this year.

The fee-free week applies only to National Parks, not Colorado State Parks.
    Your information is inaccurate.

Ooops. The title appears as if Colorado State Parks are included with National Park Free Week. They do not. Toward the bottom of the article, the entrance fee for Colorado State Parks is stated, along with the discount for people over 62. I apologize for the confusion.
