A Colorado Springs man defended himself with a screwdriver Sunday morning after being attacked in his own driveway.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the victim was working on his vehicle in his driveway on Fosdick Drive at around 11 AM when two male suspects drove up in a truck and began attacking him. He swung the screwdriver in self defense, wounding one of the suspects. Though both suspects fled the scene before the police arrived, the wounded one, identified as Ryan Carter, was later arrested for assault and his non-life threatening injuries were treated at a local hospital.

Carter reportedly declined to tell police who the second suspect was, as he didn't want to "be a rat." The second suspect remained at large Monday afternoon.
