Tonight in a ballpark in our own galaxy and not so far away at all, The Colorado Rockies will be hosting their first ever Star Wars Night! Coors Field will be transformed with several Star Wars themed sites and sounds as well as unique photo opportunities with many beloved Star Wars characters. In addition, there will be a pre-game parade in which all costumed fans are invited to participate in, but they must meet at Gate A by 5:30 pm to attend. For fans that purchased their ticket package prior to August 5th, they will receive a special commemorative purple shirt featuring the Jedi master Yoda with the Rockies logo.

In addition to tonight’s game, Star Wars culture has been prevalent in Denver with such events as Denver Comic Con, Starfest, special concerts by The Colorado Symphony and parade appearances by Denver’s chapter of the 501st Legion, a fan-based organization which is dedicated to constructing and wearing screen-accurate costumes from the film series. In addition, The Denver Outlaws have hosted a few May the Fourth be with you Star Wars nights which consisted of special Star-wars inspired jerseys.

Tonight’s game will start at 6:40 pm and will be against the Miami Marlins. Currently the Rockies are 50-76 while the Marlins are 63-63. Tickets currently range from $21-$33. For more information please visit the event website at
