Colorado has a rather progressive medical marijuana program, with some impressive patient involvement. If you live in Colorado and are interested in obtaining a medical marijuana permit, the process should be far less painful than most things you’ve experienced.
The first thing you’ll need is a doctor’s recommendation. You can either obtain this from your personal physician, or visit a clinic where compassionate doctors will guide you through the process. Before you are given an appointment, most clinics require you have your medical records set over first. After your qualifying condition is verified, you will be offered an appointment with the doctor.
Currently, the state application fee is $90, and the cost of a compassion clinic appointment ranges from $80-$250. Once your doctor has signed off on your application and you’ve mailed it in, you can visit one of the growing number of dispensaries in the state.
