The Colorado Avalanche announced Thursday the details of their 2013 training camp, which will be the teams’ first under the guidance of new coach Patrick Roy. The team unveiled the schedule and the location for both training camp and the rookie camp that precedes it. They also announced the 58-man roster of attendees and detailed their preseason schedule.
Rookie camp will begin on Sept. 8, with veterans reporting for physicals on 9/11. The full roster will then take the ice for camp Sept. 12-14. All of these practices will be held at the South Suburban Family Sports Center in Centennial, Colo. and will be open to the public.
On Sept. 15, the team will play in its’ annual Burgundy/White game in Colorado Springs. This game is an intrasquad scrimmage and will end in a shootout regardless of the score.
The preseason will begin on Sept. 18 against the Anaheim Ducks at Pepsi Center.
