Are you a runner, walker, jogger, rider of a wheelchair or a pusher of a baby stroller? If you are and you want some colorful crazy fun to help raise money for the local area United Way then you have to check out the Color Vibe. Slots are still open! The Color Vibe is the “most colorful-fun filled day of your life,” says Daniel Pete of the Color Vibe Team on September 4, 2014. Participants will get blasted with a puff of colorful powder at every color station throughout the 5k trail.

The Color Vibe makes its way through Flint, Michigan on September September 27, 2014. The last few spots are filling quickly. Don’t miss your chance to participate in one of Flint’s most colorful events. Bring everyone you know; sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, children, boyfriends, girlfriends, and your friends. It is expected that more than 2000 runners will participate in this event. Detroit Top News Examiner participated last year and had a blast!

Anyone at any fitness level can participate in this event because it is not timed nor is it competitive. It is all about getting colorful and having fun. As a matter of fact, color dust tosser's are known to encourage race participants to stop, drop and roll around in the color. The Color Vibe is a fun way to get involved in the local community.

There is no need to be concerned about the color; the magical dust is made of food grade quality cornstarch right here in the USA. It is 100% non-toxic and safe for use. The magical dust is even biodegradable – no harmful effects to Mother Earth! You will want to keep it out of your eyes and lungs if you are sensitive so bring your hippest shades and silly goggles. It is recommended that young walkers have a scarf or dust mask as well as glasses to keep the fine dust out of their eyes and mouth. Sorry, no pets are allowed at the Color Vibe. If you are concerned about so much dust you can still participate! Just stick to the running lanes where there are no color tosser’s.

The Color Vibe Team highly recommends photos but they also recommend you cover your phone or camera with a plastic baggie so it doesn't get covered in dust. They’ll have their own photography team on hand for colorful photography. Color Vibe encourages costumes. The funkier the better and don’t forget to grab a towel to protect your car seat on the ride home.

You’ll want to keep your shirt as a reminder of all the colorful fun you had. Spray it with vinegar and iron it before you wash it.
