Some days a cup of coffee may give you the needed boost to start your day. But, on a cold, dreary morning, that stagnant black coffee maker could do more to put a smile on your day.
In today's kitchens, appliances, dinnerware and even cleaning supplies come in a rainbow of colors to add personality and spice to your home. Did you know that color plays a key factor in 60% of purchases? While some colors have become almost a neutral, (think about how many red kitchen items your friends have), companies are offering bolder, brighter options.
Announced by Pantone, the color for 2013 is emerald. According to the website, emerald is described as "Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony." From the jewel-tone to the bold neon, numerous companies are jumping on the color trend. Here are some color highlights from the 2013 International Home and Housewares Show.
Fiesta: The 2013 color from Fiesta is Lapis. The cool blue will bring a sense of Provence to your kitchen table. Easily mixing with your existing Fiesta pieces, this new color will become an instant must have.
BELLA: The BELLA Dots, by Sensio Inc., brings youth and exuberance to your small kitchen appliances. Since the company strives on the opinion that these products are accessories for a lifestyle, the small appliances in purples, oranges and fuchsia are the perfect way to express yourself in the kitchen.
Casabella: We all know that kitchen cleaning is a chore, but it doesn't have to be boring. Casabella offers a large selection of products in bright orange, fuchsia and patterns to make cleaning inspiring. The reusable new bamboo household cleaning cloths don't have to be hidden under the sink when guests come over.
These companies are just a sampling of the color trend for 2013. Take the plunge and add a dash of spice through color to your kitchen this year. Which color will you choose?
