The Color Run works all over the world to provide a fun-loving 5K event to both individuals and teams and is also referred to as the Happiest 5K on the Planet, as well as the largest event series here in this country. The Color Run will take place here in downtown Cincinnati on August 2 as a race to celebrate healthiness, happiness and individuality. As of July 1 the event registration was not yet full and online pre-registration was still available at the Color Run website for both teams and individual runners.

Although Color Run is a for profit company they work in this event series to partner with charities to benefit those in need in the community. Here in Cincinnati the Color Run 5K will work to benefit both the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation. The race will take place downtown near Central Avenue and Pete Rose Way, with the start line window opening at 8:00am in waves every few minutes. Just before that will be the pre-race party gathering with music, dancing, stretching and event giveaways for participants. The race itself is a 5K colorful event filled with paint and fun for both the participants and the benefit of the community.

Along with the race day fun the Color run has partnered with the Cincinnati Reds for a Color Run Reunion Night on August 7 for a game against the Indians at Great American Ball Park. Tickets will be discounted for that game for Color Run participants. For all information about this additional event and the discounted tickets available along with registration to the 5K race, visit the Color Run website, thecolorrrun.com/Cincinnati. For a fun-filled day, along with some wonderful assistance to patients around the community, take a look at a race coming up in a couple of weeks!
