Colombia to play Guatemala in Miami

Chapín and Cafetero fans will get a chance to see their respective national team face off in the first FIFA international date of the year here in Miami.

The announcement was made official by GuateFut on Colombian radio where he accepted the terms of the deal as have the Colombian FA.

The match is scheduled for February 6th but there is still no official venue as of yet. Colombia were in Miami for a friendly last February where they defeated Mexico 2-0 at Sun Life Stadium in what was José Pekerman's debut as national team boss.

Guatemala will be using this match to prepare for this summer's Gold Cup as they have already been eliminated from World Cup qualifying for Brazil 2014.

José Pekerman, who was recognized as the best coach in South America this past year by Uruguayan daily El País, has Colombia in third place behind Argentina and Ecuador (goal differential) going into the second half of CONMEBOL qualifiers.
