Baltimore, Maryland– Baltimore has the beautiful rivers, and tall buildings, not to mention the college university’s in Maryland: Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University, University Maryland, and University of Baltimore.

This city has the lowest price per square foot, coming out to $11.46. The prices for the homes are excellent! A three bedroom, two bathrooms home typically sells for $234,456.

Grand Forks, North Dakota – Even though North Dakota has only one nearby college (University of North Dakota), U.S. News & World Report said 68 percent of students live off of the campus; which means, these students will want a home or apartment to rent or possibly buy if they are ready for the commitment.

In North Dakota, a home with three and a half bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms sells for $193, 335 with the square footage costing $16.95 per square foot.

Cleveland, Ohio – This town has a whopping three well-known colleges, which means, the price per square foot is going to be much more than Baltimore and Grand Forks. In Cleveland, the price per square foot is $41.26! However, you can till get a three bedroom, one and a half bathroom for $56,905, which is a very good price compares to other states.

Buffalo, New York – This town offers local properties for sale nearby big college universities that have very large student bodies. With more than 19,000 graduates, this town has many homes available for those who want to stay. The price per square footage is much more than other towns, coming in at $59.16 per square foot. A three and a half bedroom, one and a half bathroom home costs $113,730.

With students coming and going every four years, buying a home probably is not the smartest decision for the, however; some of the college graduates are ready to settle down with their new career, buy a home, and start a family.
